Choosing a Corner Sofa Bed

Sleeper sofas can be a bit touch and go. People get them with the idea of getting more functionality out of a piece of living room furniture, but this only becomes reality if the product is well designed. In truth, many sleeper sofas aren’t worth the money because the sleeper part can be so uncomfortable to sleep on that sleeping on the ground would be a better alternative (this is especially true of those pull-out metal frames). If you don’t know what to look for in a sleeper sofa, you could end up getting something that leaves you dissatisfied, to say the least. Of course, if you want guests to leave your home sooner rather than later, you might want to purposely get one of these back killers. That would be wrong, though, so let’s talk about some of the best sofa beds on the market- corner sofa beds.

For those looking for a sofa that can double as a bed, and not just in name only, a corner sofa bed can be the best choice. One of the reasons for this is because they can feature broad and relatively flat seat cushions, which translates to a relatively regular surface for sleeping. Hardly anyone likes their bed to be lumpy, after all. And yes, you read that right- you can sleep right on top of the cushions in some models. There’s no metal frame to wrestle out of the bowels of the sofa, no strange mattress to wrestle with. Many models of corner sofas actually have removable back cushions, which makes for a wide sleeping surface on the sofa. Thus, all you really need is bedding if you want to put up a guest for a night. To keep things really simple, you could just supply a guest with a sleeping bag instead of a bedding set.

Consider the size of sofa if you plan on putting a few guests in the living room. A small corner sofa should be fine for one adult, while a large one may be enough for two or more. You could conceivably sleep several kids on a large corner sofa, and this would provide a lot of savings over buying several beds.
